Frequently asked questions
Careful answers before the first conversation.
These answers explain service boundaries and common starting points. They do not diagnose a property, provide medical advice, or replace an on-site professional evaluation.
Does a musty odor prove there is mold?
No. An odor may justify further investigation, but website copy and odor alone cannot establish the presence, type, or extent of mold.
Is mold sampling always necessary?
No. Sampling may be useful in some circumstances, but the appropriate approach depends on the property, observed conditions, and the purpose of the assessment.
Can thermal imaging prove mold is present?
No. Thermal imaging can help identify temperature patterns that may warrant further moisture investigation. It does not identify or prove mold.
What is the difference between assessment and remediation?
Assessment documents conditions and may establish a remediation protocol. Remediation addresses affected materials and conditions according to an appropriate scope. They are presented as separate pathways.
Can the same company assess and remediate the same property?
Florida conflict-of-interest restrictions may limit when related assessment and remediation work can be performed on the same project. The appropriate independent pathway must be established before services are scheduled.
What is post-remediation verification?
Post-remediation verification is an independent assessment step used to evaluate whether the remediation area meets the applicable completion criteria.
Does moisture automatically mean mold?
No. Moisture is a building condition that can support microbial growth, but a moisture reading does not diagnose mold.
